MANAGEMENT OF EKONÓM


Ondrej Lenár – organisation head (first from right on the photograph)
         Born in Očová where he was active in a children folk group (DFS) Poľana and later on, in a similar adult group Očová. He was member of several groups: Detva, Marína, during his military service he danced in the Military Artistic Ensemble Jánošík in Brno. He settled down, after his military service, in Bratislava, and danced for two additional years in Dimitrovec. After the two years he started focussing on organisation work in Ekonóm.

Stanislav Kohútek– artistic manager and choreographer
         Born in Záhorie, started dancing in 1967 with the group Technik. Two years later, he switched for the group Lúcnica, where he spent years of study and something more as dancer. When finishing active dancing, he would spent his time dealing with children at the Children´s Educational Establishment Tomášov, where he founded the children´s folk group Boys from Tomašov. Three times they won together the main prize at the Children´s Folklore Festival in Prešov. He led the high-school folklore ensemble in Bernolákovo. Between 1982 and 1998 he served as artistic manager and choreographer in the folklore group Dopravár. He authored and directed several performances at folklore festivals in Východná, Detva, Myjava. A scriptwriter and song writer, he also made contributions to a variety of program turns and assisted other authors (e.g. the small program of Lúcnica).
         He has been artistic manager of the folklore ensemble Ekonóm since October 1998.

Andrej Včelík – head of the folk music group
         His first steps in folk arts were those in the folk group (FS) Trenčan during his secondary school years. Having enrolled at the University of Economics, he tried his luck at the competition to become a member of Ekonóm - and he was accepted. By and by, he walked his way to become the head of the folk music group.

Ing. Jana Kollárová – head of the singers group (second from right on the photo)
         She started as 14-year-old in the Žiar group Hron. After the graduation, she was active for 10 years as singer in Dimitrovec. She was involved in the establishment of the singers group Povoj which performs within the Slovak Radio´s Folk Instruments Orchestra. In addition to her singing in Povoj, she is also leading lady singers in Ekonóm.

Ing. Soňa Vanková – secretary (second from left on the photo)
         One of the founding members of the group. She would actively dance between 1969 - 1982. So far, her thirteen seasons have not been surpassed by any dancer of Ekonóm. Having finished her active carreer, she started designing costumes, and has been costume designer for FS Ekonóm since 1995 again.

František Merazzi – dance teacher (first from left on the photo)
         He started dancing in DFS Červený Kvet in Banská Bystrica. During his secondary school years, he danced in the youth group Bystrina (Banská Bystrica). During his studies at the university and thereafter, he would dance in Lúčnica for 10 years. At the same time he danced and part-time acted as dance teacher in FS Urpín and Bystrina, for a short period of time also in Klnka, and very shortly also in Ekonóm. For the time being, he also is dance teacher in Gymnik. He has danced through 17 years alltogether.
