Tomáš Danielis
Tomáš Danielis was born in Banská Bystrica, where he has has finished his studies at J.L Bella Conservatory. At present time, he studies at Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts. He has been a member of Z. Hájková company and performed in About a Tree in Me, 1996. Later he worked on his own projects. Since 1999 he has been a member of Ardent Body Communication, France. During his short dance career, he participated on many local and foreign seminars.
I Almost Met You Today

Music: extracts from Romanian, French, Armenian, and Uzbekistan folklore
I Almost Met You Today is an improvisation performance. Its creation was inspired by a fairytale written by six-years old girl. After improvisation and experiments, only images transformed into movement remained. The work was first performed 22 August 2000 at the international festival "Art of Movement 2000", Jaroslavl - Russia.

Performances, 11 - 19 May 2001
- during 10 days 8 domestic and 6 foreign companies of contemporary dance will be presented in Theatres Aréna a Stoka
- the aim of dramaturgy is to present the most recent creative achievements of selected representatives of contemporary dance from Europe and to show related results by the top domestic creators, to offer by that a simultaneous review of results in this field to domestic public and critics
- foreign participants in the festival: Cie Felix Ruckert (Germany), Chris Haring (Austria), Cie Eszter Gál (Hungary), Cie Akram Khan (Great Britain), Granhoj Dans (Danmark), Kristýna Lhotáková (Czech republic)
- Slovak representatives: Katarína Mojžišová, Lucia Holinová, Tomáš Danielis, Petra Fornayová, Peter Groll, A dato, TS Artyci, Štúdio tanca - Banská Bystrica
All the performances will be followed by public discussions between audience and artists.
