Granhřj Dans
Denmark
Founded in Denmark, Granhřj Dans is a dance company performing the works of art director and choreographer Palle Granhřj in cooperation with set designer Per Victor. Granhřj's works are created to expand and develop the idea of expression through the human body. Of fundamental importance is the "obstruction technique", developed by Palle Granhřj.
The obstruction technique creates a new dance form in which the original expression or movements are limited by someone or something outside or inside the dancers. It is used to attain a higher credibility of dancers' expression.
The choreography of all performances made by Palle Granhřj is created in cooperation with the dancers.

Headbreak wants you to forget about your head and instead experience the performance through your body and emotions instead. An international cocktail of five dancers and a Persian percussionist shows how captivating intense relations between people are, when they are expressed by insisting vigor and evident dashes of personality. The focus is on the human being dancing, - and not the dancer dancing. The music in the performance is performed by the outstanding Persian percussionist and singer Ali Reza Rahimian, - singing and playing tombak, daf, dayereh and shurtibox.
